Political Intern, Part-Time
The Civil Justice Association of California (CJAC) seeks a college-level student for a part-time support role working in the dynamic legislative and political space in Sacramento.
CJAC is a long-established Sacramento-based legal reform advocacy organization that works in both the Legislature and the courts to reduce frivolous litigation against businesses.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare membership and events communications in Mailchimp
- Prepare event flyers
- Research political and policy data and maintain data in spreadsheets
- Assist with set up/take down of association forums and events
- Assist with social media posts on advocacy issues
- Update web content
- Prepare and format letters
- Schedule meetings
- Provide general office support
Desired Qualifications
- Interest in working in political/legislative space
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Experienced with Microsoft Office, Mailchimp
Employment Type
- Part-time, 20-30 hours a week
- Hybrid work options; some days in office each week
- Compensation $18-$20/hour DOE
