The Civil Justice Association of California has announced the promotion of Barbara Wheeler to the position of Vice President-Legislation and the appointment of Jeff Sievers to the position of Legislative Advocate.
Ms. Wheeler joined Civil Justice Association of California in 1996 as Legislative Advocate. Prior to joining the association, she served for six years as in-house counsel to Yamaha Motor Corporation where she concentrated on national product liability litigation. She also spent a year as an associate with an insurance defense firm in Southern California. Ms. Wheeler is a member of the California and District of Columbia bar associations.
Mr. Sievers joined Civil Justice Association of California in 1994 as an intern researching litigation trends. He recently earned his law degree from McGeorge School of Law and is a member of the Sacramento and California bar associations. He has eight years experience managing professional corporations, focusing primarily on medical and dental small businesses.
