Kimberly Stone, President
Kimberly Stone became just the third person to serve as CJAC’s president in January 2011. She had served for five years as the Association’s Legislative Director and then Vice President-Legislation before joining Blue Shield of California as its Director of Government Affairs in August 2010. Prior to joining CJAC, Stone was Director of Development of The Adelante Foundation, a nonprofit micro credit organization in Honduras. She cofounded the organization with her husband, who grew up in the country. A graduate of Stanford University and its School of Law, Stone previously served as a Deputy District Attorney for San Mateo County and as Special Assistant to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California. As a prosecutor, she engaged in over 25 jury trials and wrote and successfully argued an appeal before the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
